Zelma Louise Lewis

    Zelma Louise Lewis, 77, of Circleville, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 26, 2023. She was born on April 9, 1945, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Wolfe) Brungs.

    She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Walter Edwin Lewis.  Zelma was born second to last of eleven children. Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter and Eva Brungs; her brother, Paul (Pat) Brungs; sisters, Marvene (Barney) Barnhart, Betty (Fotty) Martin, Susan (Warde) McCabe; her brothers-in-law, Jim Justice Sr and Hayden Rigsby. Also preceding her in death were her special great-nephew, Marcus Weaver and special niece, Robyn Rosenburg.

    She is survived by her loving son, Eddie Lee Lewis and daughter, Kimberly Louise Bowen; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Nicole Bowen and Chelsea Elizabeth Bowen; sisters, Mary Rigsby and Shirley Justice; niece, Stephanie (Robert) Miller; great-niece, Malea (Isaac) Gray; great-great-nephews, Joseph McCabe and Ivan Gray; great-great-niece, Chloe Gray; and special Forever Best Friend, Bonnie Robinson Black; countless other beloved nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

    Zelma was a founding and beloved member of the Rising Son Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and loved by all her students. Zelma was known for loving and collecting Elephants and gardening.

    Zelma will be missed by many; she left a great impression on everyone she met. She can continue in her next journey free and ready to serve her Lord and savior Jesus Christ with her husband, Walter.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rising Son Church (10756 Hayesville Road, Kingston, OH 45644) with Rev. Shirley Justice presiding. Burial will follow in Rising Son Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
