Vernon Charles White

    Vernon Charles White, 76, of Tarlton, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021 just two short days following the passing of his loving wife, Joyce (Winland) Perry White. He was born on November 1, 1944, in Columbus, the son of the late Edward Charles and Shirley White.

    Charles survived by his children, Chuck (Corey) White, of Laurelville, Kimberly (Dave Lechner) White, of Chillicothe, Connie (Scott) Poling, of Laurelville, and Heidi Brown; stepdaughter, Chris (Paul) Stevens; grandchildren, Tory White, Paitaan White, Tequila Bobo, Tristin Jenkins, Gavin (Sadiee) Jenkins, Colten McNichols, Ashton Poling, Maylene White, Katie Willard, Kari (Joe) Willard, Jessica (Michael) Willard, Meranda (Chris) Stoll and Alise Stevens; great-granddaughters, Lanaya and Maisen; siblings, Darlene, Patty, and Ronnie; brother-in-law, David Collier; and numerous other special family members, colleagues and friends whom he cherished.

    In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his late wife, Carolyn Sue (Collier) White; son, Randy White; granddaughter, Corlee Sue Jarvis; and sisters, Pam and JoAnne.

    Charles worked at WearEver in Chillicothe and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and his lottery tickets. He went to his heavenly home surrounded by loving family and friends.

    Graveside services will be held for both Charles and Joyce on Wednesday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Laurelville with Pastor Brett Fisher officiating.
