Thelma Mae (Matheny) Fox
Thelma Mae (Matheny) Fox, 91, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2022 at Brown Memorial Nursing Home, Circleville. She was born on November 19, 1930, in Leon, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Melvin and Stacie Agnes (Cossin) Matheny.
Thelma is survived by her siblings, Homer (Juanita) Matheny, Harold (Velva) Matheny, Iva Hannan, Vacie Knapp, Evelyn (Levi) Kinzel, Juanita Jordan, and Eleanor Fultz; grandchildren, Carla (Dave) French and James Fox III; great-grandchildren, Scott and Logan French, James Fox IV, Hailey, Miles and Maverick Fox; great-great-grandchild, Braxton; daughter-in-law, Sherry Fox; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
Thelma was preceded in death by her sons, James D. Fox Jr. and Gary Fox; brother, Walter Matheny; and 2 infant sisters.
Thelma worked at Grant Hospital in the sterilization department for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Meade Cemetery (Salem United Methodist Church: 8490 Hayesville Road, Kingston, OH 45644).
