Terry James Jenkins
Terry James Jenkins, 61, of Kingston, passed away on December 31, 2022 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, following a brief illness. He was born on November 3, 1961, in Chillicothe, the son of the late James Edward and Yvonne Jane (Chester) Jenkins.
Terry is survived by his beloved son, Raymond Jenkins (Dakota Scarberry); sisters, Melissa (Ralph) Skaggs, of Londonderry, Ginger (Derald) Jenkins-Evans, of Logan, and Pamela (James) Jenkins-Beatty, of Chillicothe; special uncles, Donnie Jenkins, Jack Jenkins and Joe Jenkins; father-in-law, Raymond E. Shoemaker; nieces, Tabitha Shoemaker and Tasha Shoemaker; brother-in-law, Brian Shoemaker; canine companions, Zeke and Sophie; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
Terry was a 1980 graduate of Zane Trace High School and retired from Adena Medical Center after working in housekeeping and sterilization for 37 years. He worked at local outdoor drama, Tecumseh, for a time and was currently employed by Walmart, in Circleville, which he greatly enjoyed. Terry was a founding member of the Colerain Township Volunteer Fire Department and was an advisor for the Explorer Post #190. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, sprint cars, caring for his donkeys and Jeep adventures. He was a member of Mid Ohio Jeepers and Off-road Disciples. Terry never met a stranger and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Hill’s. Condolences can be made on Terry’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
