Rodney W. Amerine
Rodney W. Amerine, 75, of South Bloomingville, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Rodney was born on December 9, 1943, in South Bloomingville, the son of the late Ernest and Scarlett (Albright) Amerine.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Charlene (Hettinger) Amerine; daughter, Shawna (Tony) Diehl, of Londonderry; son, Chad Amerine, of South Bloomingville; grandchildren, Joshua Collins and Ryan Slopko; great-grandchild, Preston Collins; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
Rodney retired from General Motors in 1993 after many years of service and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2279, McArthur. He thoroughly enjoyed attending car shows and building classic cars with his son.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences can be made on Rodney’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
