Richard P. Leach
Richard P. Leach, 79, of Laurelville, entered into Heaven on February 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 29, 1941, in Baltimore, the son of the late Charles A. and Lucille O. (Kinney) Leach.
Richard is survived by his beloved daughters, Cheri (David) Phillips, Tammy (Lawrence) Elkins, Renee (Curtis) Ream, and Cindy (Tim) Seymour, all of Laurelville; grandchildren, Josh (Elizabeth), Jennifer (Brady), Clifton (Brittany), Nate (Megan), Richard “Richie” (Alisha), Brandon, Kelsey, Kevin, and Karlee; great-grandchildren, Deven, Hayden, Chelyan, Xzander, Trent, Caleb, Landen, Alexis, Avery, Brennen, Rylee, Raylee, Abagail, Maci, Courtney, Samuel, Jacob, Cooper, Kyndell, Kylee, and Ridge; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine Louise (Pickell) Leach; brothers, Charles A., Donald E. and James R. Leach; and sisters, Gene Rose Wielgos, Carol A. Taylor, Mary K. Ryan, Alice B. Hawk, and Geraldine L. Peak.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army. Richard was a devoted family man who loved fishing and spending time with loved ones. Richard was a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church, Laurelville.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 3:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Cliff Harber and Pastor James Vandagriff officiating and military honors conducted by the Ross County Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 8 from 4 - 7 p.m. and an hour before the service Tuesday at Hill’s. Covid-19 precautions will be observed.
