Richard Alan Hansford

    Richard Alan Hansford, 69, of Circleville, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. He was born July 24, 1952, in Marmet, West Virginia, to the late Donald Burke and Elma Louise (Duncan) Hansford.

    Richard is survived by his children, John (Heather) Hansford, Jennifer (Brad) Hill, and Anna Mary Moore; grandchildren, Jamison, Kenley, and Emma Hansford, Dylan Potts, and Justus and Madelyn Hill; sister-in-law, Donna Hansford; special niece and nephew, Heather (Toby) Irwin and Jeremy (Justine) Hansford; lifelong friends, John and Sharon Ledsome; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

    In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Earl Hansford; and sister, Martha Ann Hansford.

    Richard graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1971 and was a longtime member of the Mount Pleasant Church, Kingston. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He will be greatly missed.

    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett presiding. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill’s. Condolences can be made on Richard’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
