Loretta Yvonne (Scott) Jones
Loretta Yvonne (Scott) Jones, 84, of Hallsville, entered into Heaven on July 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 14, 1937, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late James C. and Beatrice (Atwood) Scott. On August 31, 1952, she was united in marriage with her one true love, Donald W. Jones, who preceded her in death on December 30, 2020.
Loretta is survived by her beloved children, Mark Jones and Lori (Barry) Clark; daughter-in-law, Dianna Jones; grandchildren, Phil Jones (Amanda Howard), Josh (Sara) Jones, Heath Jones, Leyna (Rafic) Bsat, Jarrod (Erika) Clark, Adam Clark, Logan (Sophia) Clark, Megan (Chris) Ebert, Jon Timmons, and Jared (Jenny) Timmons; great-grandchildren, Sadi Cory, Zoey Jones, Hazel Jones, Scarlett Jones, Amelia Jones, Grayson Jones, Noah Bsat, Nora Bsat, Aniston Clark, Drexel Clark, Cameron Clark, Miles Clark, Cayden Ebert, Iva Ebert, Allie Ebert, Willow Timmons, Jonathan Timmons Jr., and Elly King; brother, Gary (Connie) Scott; special aunt, Betty Sakas; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents and husband, Loretta was preceded in death by her son, James Drexel Jones; infant son, K.C. Jones; and special friends, Sandy Uhrick and Shirley Street.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked in the Zane Trace Jr. High School, in Kingston, and Pickaway Ross Vocational School Cafeterias. She was a member of the Kingston Eastern Star for numerous years and a member of Kingston United Methodist Church. Donald and Loretta truly had a marriage to aspire to and friends and family loved to watch them dance. She was loved and respected by the community and will certainly be missed by all. Many children in Kingston have fond memories of spending time at the Jones’ home and how nurturing Loretta was to them.
The family wishes to thank Loretta’s wonderful team of caregivers including her granddaughter, Megan, niece, Tammy Noble, Chelsey Rinehart, Andrea Walters, Payton McBee, Kenzie Leeth, Pam Rinehart, and Kathy Parsons.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Hill’s. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Star (P.O. Box 239, Kingston, OH 45644).
