Larry Edward Brokaw Sr.

    Larry Edward Brokaw Sr., 83, of Adelphi, entered into Heaven on November 16, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 3, 1940, in Laurelville, the son of the late Herbert and Margaret (Hettinger) Brokaw.

   He will be sadly missed by his children, Larry Edward (Kim) Brokaw Jr., of Lancaster, Christina (Donald) Finley, of Circleville, Keith (April) Brokaw, of Kingston and Michelle (Todd) Carroll, of Adelphi; grandchildren, Rachel, Travis, Anthony, Lindsay, Levi, Adrianne, Josh and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Tristen, Conner, and Raylea, and several step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald and Melvin Brokaw, Marilyn Sue Garrett and Patricia Leach; and many special nieces and nephews. 

    In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his twin brother, Gary (Ruth) Brokaw; brother, Ronald (Georgia) Brokaw; sister, Kay Ebert; brothers-in-law, Samuel Garrett and James Leach; sister-in-law, Joanne Brokaw; and friend and mother of his children, Carlene VoVillia. 

    Larry was a hard worker and retired from the logging industry. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Larry’s final wishes were to go home from the hospital and then go home to be with Jesus, both have been fulfilled. Until we meet again.

   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery.
