Kenneth Ray Routte

It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth (Kenny) Ray Routte, 83, announce his passing on Nov. 8, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Crosby); his two daughters, Yolanda (Jack Roush) Routte and Kelly (David) Ludwig, Grandchildren: Christopher Ray (Siarra) Wemer, Zachary and Emilee Ludwig; Step Grandchildren: Jessica (Gary) Thompson, Nicholas Ludwig and Great Grandchildren: Nayeli and Tripp. He also leaves behind a sister, Norma Jean “Dean” Hensel and his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ken was predeceased by his parents Glover Simon and Ida Mae Routte, his brother Donald, sisters Hermione Ramsey & Betty Miller, half-sisters Fern Bethel and Mary Elizabeth Smith, and half-brother Wallace Routte. 

Ken was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired Member of Carpenters & Joiners Union Local 200.

Per Ken’s request there will be no services however, the family will hold a private Celebration of Life.  Burial of his ashes will be held in the coming spring for Family and Friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kenneth Ray Routte’s name to Pike Run Church, C/O Freeman Conley, PO Box 403, Adelphi, OH 43103 or  Harrison Twp. Fire & Rescue Assoc., 7489 Charleston Pk., Chillicothe, OH 45601.

The family would like to extend their heart felt gratitude to the staff of Ken’s VA Chillicothe Home Base Team and the Adena Hospice for their devoted care.
