Kenneth H. Atwood

    Kenneth H. Atwood, 60, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2023 at The Ohio State Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born on September 7, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of the late Stephen and Judith (Herlin) Atwood. On December 1, 2012, he united in marriage with his loving wife, Lynn (Young) Atwood, who survives. 

    Kenneth is also survived by his siblings, Kimberly Atwood and Jeff Atwood, both of Sarasota, Florida; niece, Lyndsay Harvey; special friend, Steve Flynn; beloved furbabies, Sienna and Snugs; and numerous special neighbors and friends whom he cherished. He was preceded in death by his special furbaby, Kitty.

    Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked in all forms of construction and was a certified mechanic. Kenny was a man of strong faith and enjoyed sharing the gospel through street ministry. He will be deeply missed. 

    The family would like to thank the OSU Medical ICU staff and nursing staff for the excellent, kind, and compassionate care Kenny received during his illness. 

   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
