James Edward Fisher
James Edward Fisher, 66, of Kingston, passed away on April 19, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 8, 1956, in Coshocton, Ohio, the son of James Ott and Wanda Mae (Miller) Fisher, who survive. On May 30, 2009, he united in marriage with his loving wife, Luann (Swepston) Fisher, who survives.
James is also survived by his son, Andrew James Fisher; step-children, Jack (Stephanie) Jenkins and Beth Morrow; grandchildren, Haeleigh (Tyler) Woodard, Kaylee Morrow, Bree Morrow, Reganne Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Millee Morrow, Stanlee Morrow, and Lyndee Charland; sister, Joan (David) Durbin, of Coshocton; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
James graduated from Riverview High School, in Warsaw, Ohio, in the Class of 1974 and was a member of the 103rd graduating class of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy starting March 22, 1978. He retired after 30 years of honorable service as an Ohio State Trooper serving primarily at the Chillicothe Post. James was a avid bowler and participated in the local Joe’s Pro Shop Bowling League, Chillicothe, as both secretary and treasurer for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Mike Maugmer officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery.
