Hope Marie (Pritchard) Abner
Hope Marie (Pritchard) Abner, 71, of Hillsboro, entered into Heaven on July 18, 2020 at OSU Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 29, 1949, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Dorothy (Segee) Thompson and Lewis and Amy Segee.
Hope is survived by her loving husband, Omer Abner, of Hillsboro; children, Tony Pritchard (Lori Jordan), Tina (Jon) Ison, Terry (Jessica) Pritchard, and Mike (Madison) Pacinda; step-children, J.C. (Tammy) Abner, Coby (Tanya) Abner, and Amanda (Eric) Heinlein; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; siblings, Barry Thompson and Ralph White; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
Hope was also preceded in death by her sister, Charity Stover, and the father of her children, Charles “Chuck” Pritchard.
Hope retired as a captain from Ross Correctional Institution after many years of service. She also worked as a bus driver for Zane Trace Local Schools and as a substitute teacher across southern Ohio. Hope was a member of the Liberty Hill Christian Union Church, Chillicothe, and volunteered as an EMT with the Green Township Fire Department for many years. Excluding spending time with her loved ones, Hope’s biggest passions were playing bingo and riding motorcycles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until the time of the service at Hill’s. Condolences and floral gifts can be made on Hope’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
