Helen Louise (Stauffer) Mallow
Helen Louise (Stauffer) Mallow, 82, of Laurelville, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 8, 1939, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruby (Hardesty) Stauffer. On August 24, 1957, she united in marriage in Indiana with her loving husband, Donald Mallow, who preceded her in death in 1981.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Donnie (Michelle) Mallow, Mike (Joyce) Mallow, and Kimberly (Matt) Ebert; grandchildren, Brady Mallow, Katie Mallow, Jacob Mallow, Chris (Megan) Ebert, and Seth (Hope) Ebert; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Iva, and Allie Ebert; special friends, Scotty Valentine and Terry Martin; dog, Arya; cat, Chloe; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Jane Stauffer.
Helen was a 1957 graduate of Centralia High School and retired from the Chillicothe VAMC on May 31, 2005 as a medical clerk after 17 years of service. She was a member of the Chillicothe Eastern Star Chapter 419, member of Kingston Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, and she attended Mount Pleasant Church, Kingston. The family would like to sincerely thank Promedica/Heartland Hospice for the care they provided, specifically Teresa Reed and Frances Dillie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston.
