Life doesn't come with a manual, it comes with a mother. Hazel Jean (Farley) Snyder, 94, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord on October 21, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 28, 1929, in McCoy, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Hibbard and Hettie Mae (Jenkins) Farley Sr.. On December 11, 1982, she united in marriage with her loving husband, Samuel Snyder, who survives.
Jean is also survived by her beloved daughters, Janice (Jacob) Search, Bobbie Duffy, Sandy (Paul) Kendall, Jacqueline (Mike) Frankel, Debi (Mike) Miller and Kym (Mark) Thacker; grandchildren who adored their “Mimi,” Heather (Brian), Heidi, Matt (Heather), Kassie (Erin), Courtney (Jesse), Tyler (Amanda), Kylie, Jeremy, Chelsea, Holly, Ian, and Ryan; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, William Hibbard “June” Farley Jr.; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents, Jean was also predeceased by her children’s father, Edward Baker; son, Paul Baker; granddaughter, Nicole Newland; and 11 siblings.
Jean was a longtime and devoted member of the Mount Pleasant Church, Kingston. She was a woman of strong faith, a true believer, and an exceptional wife and mother. She will be deeply missed.
