Georgia Love (Weaver) Hertenstein
Georgia Love (Weaver) Hertenstein, 89, of Chillicothe, earned her Angel wings on December 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 31, 1932, in Pickaway County, the daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie (Barnes) Weaver. On September 13, 1952, she was united in marriage with her loving husband, Wilbur “Jake” Hertenstein, who preceded her in death.
Georgia is survived by her children, Larry (Edie) Hertenstein, Patsy Hertenstein, Chichi (Steve) Hertenstein, Cynthia (late Ronnie) Leeth, Cheryl (late Jack) Kelly, Canita Stewart (late Bill DeBord), Carrie Burns, all of Chillicothe, and Conda Hertenstein, of Bellewood, PA; grandchildren, Richard and Jason Good, Tonda (Lincoln) Bray, Larry Hertenstein Jr., Jennifer (Joe) Detillion, Becky Barnhart, Charles Cash, Clay and Ashley Hertenstein, Shelby (Matt) Keller, Chrissy Hertenstein, Harley (Ann Marie) DeBord, Casey and Levi Burns, Malik Moss, Craig (Katie) Leeth, and Juanita (Nick) Varney; sister-in-law, Mary Weaver; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Bonnie Pickens; special friend and caregiver, Kim; special friends, Les and Bev Fox; furry baby, Dukie; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents and husband, Georgia was preceded in death by her sons, Leslie and Craig Hertenstein; and siblings, Judy, Blanche, Ann, Henrietta, Tom and John.
Georgia enjoyed her family, playing cards, and watching Buckeye and Steeler’s football. The light of her life were her great-grandsons, Laine Johnson, Emmett Burns, and John John Leeth. She will be missed by all who loved her. She was truly a blessed and treasured woman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Pastor Dennis Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hill’s.
