Donald W. Jones

Donald W. Jones, 86, of Hallsville, entered into Heaven on December 30, 2020 at Adena Medical Center just hours after his son’s passing. He was born on April 19, 1934, in Kingston, the son of the late Drexel and Alice “Allie” (Thompson) Jones. On August 31, 1952, he was united in marriage with his one true love, Loretta (Scott) Jones, who survives.

Donald is also survived by his beloved children, Mark Jones and Lori (Barry) Clark; daughter-in-law, Dianna Jones; grandchildren, Phil Jones (Amanda Howard), Josh (Sara) Jones, Heath Jones, Leyna (Rafic) Bsat, Jarrod (Erika) Clark, Adam Clark, Logan (Sophia) Clark, Megan (Chris) Ebert, Jon Timmons, and Jared Timmons (Jenny Riber); great-grandchildren, Sadi Cory, Zoey Jones, Hazel Jones, Scarlett Jones, Amelia Jones, Grayson Jones, Noah Bsat, Nora Bsat, Aniston Clark, Drexel Clark, Cameron Clark, Cayden Ebert, Iva Ebert, Willow Timmons, Jonathan Timmons Jr., and Elly King; siblings, Ann Strawser, Jeannie Lockwood, and John (Kim) Jones; special aunt, Betty Sakas; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, James Drexel Jones and infant son, K.C. Jones.

Donald graduated from Centralia High School Class of 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from DuPont, Circleville, after many years of service. Don was a member of the Logan Elm Masonic Lodge #624, Ross County Shrine Club, and Aladdin Shrine. Don was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church. Don loved to sing to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and had a beautiful singing voice. Donald and Loretta truly had a marriage to aspire to and friends and family loved to watch them dance. He was also loved and respected by the community and will certainly be missed by all.
