David Arlen Smith
David Arlen Smith, 48, of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2021 at Adena Medical Center. He was born on June 1, 1973, in Circleville, the son of the late Franklin and Dianne (Hudson) Smith.
David is survived by his loving wife, Lometa (Pope) Smith; son, Franklin “Frankie” Smith; siblings, Andy (Elaine) Shirey and Cindy (David) Sams; step-mother, Diane Smith; mother-in-law, Phyllis Pope; brother-in-law, Charlie (Michelle) Pope; sister-in-law, Shonnia Pope; niece, Kendra Pope; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
David worked for 10 years with CSX before he began working for the City of Chillicothe two months ago. He was an avid motorcyclist, pilot, fisherman and enjoyed woodworking. David was a member of the Ercoupe Club and attended Laurel Valley Baptist Church. He loved adventures with his family and loved being home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Pastor Darren Edrington and Pastor John Lybrook officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 - 7 p.m. at Hill’s.
