David Glenn Large

    David Glenn Large, 73, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 7, 1948, in Chillicothe, the youngest son of the late Harvey and Margaret (Morris) Large. On July 27, 1997, he united in marriage with his loving wife, Linda (Crider) Large, who survives.

    David is also survived by his children, Matthew (Melissa) Large and Erin (Dustin) Knox; stepchildren, Shayne (Ann Marie) Graves, Tristin (Jessica) Chrisman, Tabitha (Anthony) Garcia, and Shelly VanBuskirk; grandchildren, Riley, Caleb, Anthony, Savannah, Camden, Brodie, Colten, Molly, Madelyn, Courtney, Alivia, and Madilynn; sisters, Nancy (Harold) Wright, Alice Beavers, Mary Moss, and Linda (Tom) Snyder; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members, colleagues and friends whom he cherished.

    In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Marlin Large, Doug Paxton, William Large, Lawrence Large, and infant twin brothers, James and Jerald Large.

    David was a 1966 graduate of Zane Trace High School. David served over 40 years in law enforcement including being a Lieutenant for the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and working in the Chillicothe Municipal Court and Ross County Common Pleas Court. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Red’s fan.

    Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hill’s.
