Carl Joseph “Joe” Kuntz Jr.

    Carl Joseph “Joe” Kuntz Jr., 63, of Kingston, went to be with our Father in Heaven on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 4:41 am. He was born October 25, 1959, son of Carl “Snooks” and Judith (Weaver) Kuntz. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty (Lowe) Kuntz, on April 16, 1977.

    He is survived by his wife, Betty; father, Carl “Snooks” Kuntz Sr.; daughters, Tawnya Kuntz, Tammy Howard, and Rachel (Jeremy) Disbennett; grandchildren, Tehya, Amber, Jordan (Cody), and Trenton Kight, Jeremy Disbennett Jr., and Crystal Kellough; great-grandsons, Gunner Bennett and Waylon Shaw; great-granddaughter, Addison Bocook; siblings, Casey Kuntz, Carla Brill, Chris (Lola) Kuntz, Collenn (Ed) Whitley, Coby (Michelle) Kuntz, Clyde Kuntz, Johnny Kuntz; bonus daughter, Heidi (Brigham) Kellough; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special friends, Richard (Connie) Chester, Clem (Sherry) Imboden, Mark (Pam) Krider, and Joe (Amy) Sunderland; and very special friend that was like a brother, Kenny Seymour.

    Joe was preceded in death by his mother; baby brother, Chad; maternal and paternal grandparents; and mother and father-in-law, Darvin (Goldie) Menear.

    In 2013, Joe retired from Glatfelter after 27 years of service. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to karaoke and being outdoors. In his younger years, he loved to deer hunt. During bow season, he could not be found until after the sun went down.

    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Jamie Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery.
