IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Curtis
Jones Jr.
December 26, 1936 – April 24, 2018
William Curtis Jones Jr.
William Curtis Jones Jr., 81, of Chillicothe, passed on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. William (Bill) was born on December 26, 1936, in Hallsville, the son of the late William C. and Ostia (Cunningham) Jones Sr. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Jones.
He was a father of four: Roger (Theresa) Jones, Dale (Jodi) Jones, Kelli (Rod) Jones Bensonhaver, and William C. (Sally) Jones III. He had 6 grandchildren: Chrissy, Angie, Kaci, Brandon, Sydney, and Bo as well as several great-grandchildren.
Bill was a retired tire business owner, which he shared with his brother, Larry. Their partnership began with the shell station on Main Street, Chillicothe, many years ago followed by their relocation to Brown Hollow Road until their retirement.
He never missed an opportunity to travel, be outdoors, or try something new. His hobbies were biking, mushroom hunting, and searching the flea markets for his next hidden treasures. These were "always" worth millions of dollars when he was going to resell them!
We also cannot forget those "presidential" McDonald's meetings with his cabinet. He so enjoyed those and we are sure the world would be a better place if they had run it!
Bill was an outgoing individual with so much zest for life. He had a joke or silly remark for everyone. He taught us kids to work hard and nothing comes for free. But again, he also taught us not to miss out on enjoying life. Bill knew so many people. He will be missed by all.
A formal funeral will not be held. We have opted for an outdoor celebration of his life in the near future, which will be communicated. In lieu of flowers or cards, we are asking for donations be made to the Ross County Humane Society in his name. Bill loved his latest dog friend, Buddy, and always chose his rescues from there. This would be what he would prefer. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support during this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences can be made on William's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
