Virginia Gayle Handley

Virginia Gayle Handley, 67, of Kingston, passed away on December 15, 2025 at Kobacker House, Columbus, following an extended illness after spending the day with her loving family. She was born on November 11, 1958, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Curtis E. and Doris Elizabeth (Wills) Handley.

Virginia is survived by her siblings, Thomas (Daisy) Handley, Linda J. (Joseph) Ison, Timothy A. Handley, all of Kingston, and Peggy L. (Scott) Neff, of Chillicothe; beloved nieces and nephews, Matthew (Ashley) Handley, Megan (Chad) Baire, Emily (James) Garner, Abigail (Larry) Spangler, Joshua (Beth) Neff, and Paige (Austin) Hoffman; great-nieces and great-nephews, Rylie, Reagan, Ripley, and Rowyn Handley, Theo and Celia Baire, Luke Garner, Lily Spangler, and Allison, Alayna, and Oliver Neff; and numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her sister, Laurel A. Handley.

Ginny graduated from Zane Trace High School Class of 1977 and earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Ohio University in 1981 and Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University Class of 1989. She retired from Zane Trace Local Schools after teaching for 32 years; she spent 28 years of that time as the Primary Intervention Specialist working with children K-4 with special education needs. Ginny dedicated her life to community service by serving as an EMT and Ladies Auxiliary member for Green Township Fire Department since 1986 and serving as a council member for the Village of Kingston from 1993 to present. She was also a proud member of Order of Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter 411 and Pythian Sisters of Ohio Majors Temple #516, of Circleville.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Lee Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Hill's with a Pythian Sisters Service at 4 p.m. and an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Ginny's honor to Order of Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter 411 (P.O.
