Timothy David DeLong

Timothy David DeLong, 40, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Circleville, entered into Heaven on February 2, 2026 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital, Concord, North Carolina, following a sudden cardiac event. He was born on May 7, 1985, in Columbus, the son of David Edward and Debbie Sue (Bretz) DeLong, who survive.

Timothy is also survived by his beloved daughters, Olivia DeLong and Carleann DeLong; brother and best friend, Kyle DeLong; many aunts and uncles; girlfriend, Jess Hazelwood; mother of his children, Christina DeLong; and numerous other family members and friends whom he cherished.

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Majel DeLong and Robert and Margaret Bretz Jr..

Timothy was a 2003 graduate of Circleville High School. He proudly and honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and completed two tours in Iraq. Timothy went on to have a successful truck driving career working for Lone Star Transportation and, most recently, ABF Freight. Among his colleagues, he was known and remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication to excellent performance. Timothy touched countless lives with his strong character and selfless nature. Even beyond his military service, Timothy felt his greatest accomplishment was being a loving and devoted father to his two girls that he loved beyond measure. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services are being planned at this time. Burial will take place in Hallsville Cemetery, Hallsville, with military honors.
