Sylvia Lee (Flowers) Krafthefer
Sylvia Lee (Flowers) Krafthefer, 92, of Kingston, happily exited this life on February 2, 2025 to be with her Jesus and her loved ones who were awaiting her arrival. Sylvia was born May 17, 1932, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Dolph M. and Iva (Wilson) Flowers, who predeceased her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward G. Barnhart; her second husband, Thomas H. Aspel; and then by her precious husband, Joseph W. Krafthefer. She was also predeceased by a brother, Walter H. Flowers; step-son, Gary Krafthefer, and a step-grandson, Joey Krafthefer.
Survivors include a brother, Boyd W. (Marilyn) Flowers; a sister-in-law, Mary Flowers; nephews, Kirby Lee Flowers, Richard Flowers, and Roger (Cathy) Flowers; and a niece, Judy Ford. Sylvia is also survived by her step-daughter, Glenna Johnston; step-son, Timothy (Karen) Krafthefer; and step-grandchildren, Neal (Frances) Johnston, Krystal (Jeff) Blosser, and T.J. Krafthefer.
On July 21, 2003, she was happily joined in marriage to the love of her life, Rev. Joseph W. Krafthefer, who was a very special person sent by God to fulfill her life with love. Together, they enjoyed many years doing what God had called them to do, which was missionary work in the nursing homes. She loved being his helpmate. She loved playing the guitar and singing with him. Singing came so naturally to her as she had a lot of good singers and musicians in her parents' families.
Sylvia was still working for the Lord in the nursing home up until her death. Her love for God's creatures had her still feeding the deer, turkeys, squirrels, raccoons, and birds and enjoying her three kittens every day. She was blessed with good neighbors and dear friends who she hopes to see again in Heaven one day.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Hallsville Cemetery, Hallsville, Ohio with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences and floral gifts can be made on Sylvia's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
