Sharon Irene (Pickell) Danner
Sharon Irene (Pickell) Danner, 75, of Laurelville, entered into Heaven on July 23, 2026 at Pickering Hospice House in Lancaster. She was born on February 15, 1951, in Columbus, the daughter of the late William E. and Marie (Armentrout) Pickell.
Sharon is survived by her beloved daughter, Marilyn (Trent) Swackhammer; three grandchildren whom she adored, Brittany (Clifton) Ream, Colin (Emily) Swackhammer, and D'Lani (Nicholas) Rinehart; great-grandchildren, Maci and Ridge Canterbury, Sloan and Isla Swackhammer, Eden, Ember, and Elijah Rinehart, and Xzander, Brenyn, and Raylea Ream; siblings, Robert Pickell, Betty Hunter, Barbara Haddox, and Jim (Millie) Pickell; and numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Stanley “Butch” Danner; siblings, William Pickell, John Pickell, Catherine Leach, Shirley Cradlebaugh, Vicki Anderson, and infant, Annabelle Pickell.
Sharon attended Zane Trace Local Schools and was a longtime, faithful member of Pleasant Hill Community Church, of Laurelville. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Community Church (15290 SR-327, Laurelville, OH 43135) with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Laurelville. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston.
