Sharon L. (Barney) Fast

Sharon L. (Barney) Fast, 77, of Laurelville, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 24, 1948, in McArthur, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lida (Woltz) Burnheimer. On June 9, 1966, she was united in marriage with her loving husband, Charles William Fast, who survives.

Sharon is also survived by her beloved children, Angela Stump and David (Lori) Fast; grandchildren, Hannah (Dustin) Montgomery, Alivia Stump, Abigail Fast, and Adam Fast; great-grandchildren, Rowyn and Maizee Montgomery; siblings, Donna (Bob) Diehl and Michael (Patty) Burnheimer; special nephew, Rick Fast; special neighbors, the Thompson family; and numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Ada Fast; brother and sister-in-law, James and Sharon Woltz; special niece, Linda Fast; and brother and sister-in-law, Paul (Ruby) Fast.

Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Centralia High School and she worked as a school aid at Laurelville Elementary and Pickaway Elementary for about 10 years. However, her very favorite role in life was that of grandmother. She loved tending her flowers and gardening and was a skillful painter. She will be deeply missed.
