Robert Russell Sherwood

Robert Russell Sherwood, 76, of Kingston, passed away on August 8, 2016 at Heartland Nursing Home. He was born on November 20, 1939, the son of the late William Russell and Edna Pauline (Timmons) Sherwood.

He is survived by sisters, Nancy June (Ronald) Leadingham and Judy Ann (Russell) Wintersheimer; brother, Jerry Lee (Barbara) Sherwood; special friends, Russell and Donna Kempton; and several special nieces and nephews.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was stationed in Europe. He worked as a security guard at RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics for many years. He was a lifetime member of Kingston and enjoyed traveling around the world.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Hill's on Thursday from 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Adena Hospice (111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601).
