Robert A. McNichols

Robert A. McNichols, 84, of Adelphi, passed away on September 27, 2026 at FairHope Hospice Pickering House, of Lancaster. Robert was born on June 28, 1942, in Laurelville, the son of the late Kenneth and Ada (Routte) McNichols.

Robert is survived by his loving children, Timothy (Gina) McNichols, of Laurelville, and Brenda (Dave) Hettinger, of Adelphi; beloved partner of over 20 years, Mary Fulton; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Goldie) McNichols; sisters, Sandy (Steve) Walker, Charlotte Liff, Debbie Hettinger, and Pam Anderson; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy McNichols and Floyd McNichols.

Robert attended Laurelville School District. He worked for many years in construction as a heavy equipment operator. Robert loved antique cars and enjoyed attending various car shows. He also enjoyed going to flea markets. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating.
