Robert Lee Johnson

Robert Lee Johnson, 72, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2020 at Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 20, 1948, in Gallia County, the son of the late Carlon and Margaret (Hawk) Johnson.  On June 7, 1971, he was united in marriage to his loving wife,Wanda (Seymour) Johnson, who survives.

Robert is also survived by his beloved children, Rick Johnson (Mindy Curtis), of Spring Lake, Michigan, and Peggy (Donald) Anthony, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Joanna Diehl and Johnnie Diehl; a brother-in-law and five sisters-in-law; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Mildred White, Donald Johnson, Jim Johnson, Carlos Johnson, and infant, Jerry.

Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid family man and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Tracy Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkard Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Ross County Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hill's with visitors maintaining social distancing and wearing face coverings.
