Robert Leo Atwood

Robert Leo Atwood, 80, of Chillicothe, passed away on June 14, 2016 at Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly. He was born November 17, 1935, the son of the late Robert and Bernice (Reisinger) Atwood Sr. On November 12, 1954, he married his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth (McWhorter) Atwood, who survives.

Robert is also survived by his children, Robert Atwood III, of Columbus, Connie (Jim) Richardson, of Chillicothe, and Terry Haubeil, of Chillicothe; sisters, Bonnie (Gary) Adams and Becky Helterbridle; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Robert worked at Mead Papermill for 40 years until he retired in 1996. He enjoyed participating in the Chillicothe Bowling League, horse racing and mushroom hunting.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Jim Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in the Rowland Cemetery.
