Rita Charlene (Lowery) Tatman

Rita Charlene (Lowery) Tatman, 81, of Laurelville, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 14, 1944, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Harold Amos and Betty R. (Steele) Lowery. On December 31, 1962, she was united in marriage with her beloved husband, Ray Elwood Tatman, who preceded her in death on November 24, 2018.

Rita is survived by her children, Randy (Sue) Tatman; Renee (John) Gozy, Raeshell (Matthew) Matney, and Robin (Roxanne) Tatman; grandchildren, Zach (Kellie) Gozy, Justin (Casey) Gozy, Tanner Matney, Logan (Alex) Matney, and Bobbi Nungester; great-grandchildren, Dreyden Gozy, Stetson Gozy, and Adylyn and Olyvia; siblings, Janice (Lee) Norman, Keith (Kris) Lowery, and Terry Lowery; her beloved canine companion, Pastel; special friend, Georgie; several special nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill's.
