Rita M. (Knece) Tisdale

Rita M. (Knece) Tisdale, 71, of Adelphi, left us peacefully after fighting a long time illness on August 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 10, 1950, in Hocking County, the daughter of the late Edgar Knece and Novella Imogene (Woodward) Eveland.

Rita is survived by her son, Larry Scott Tisdale (Shane Andrea McCorkle), of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Gracie, Taylor, and Ashton Tisdale; siblings, Beverly Pennington, of Adelphi, Randy (Karen) Knece, of Lancaster, and Tony (Angie) Eveland, of Chillicothe; several special nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

Rita was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Tisdale; grandson, Takoda; brother, Danny Knece; sister-in-law, Barb Knece; and brother-in-law, Jim Pennington.

Rita retired from Thompson Consumers (RCA) and had worked for Ross County Community Action. Rita would like to send a special thank you to all the hospice nurses and to a special friend, Shane. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston, with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi.
