Richard Eugene Imler

Richard Eugene Imler, 87, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord on June 26, 2016 at Logan Elm Healthcare surrounded by his family. He was born on August 16, 1928, the son of the late Merrill B. and Mary C. (Richter) Imler. On December 9, 1957, he married his wife of 34 years, Mary Ellen (Pritchard) Imler, who preceded him in death in 1991.

He is survived by his son, Bret (Maxine) Imler, of Circleville; sister, Maxine (David) Mosley, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Imler, of Kingston, and Brooke (Trent) Brownfield, of Barnesville; great-grandchildren, Henry Richard Imler and Maci Ellen Brownfield; and several special nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Wingett Dillie.

Richard proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He also retired from Dupont, Circleville, after 35 years of service.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Imler Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Pickaway County Honor Guard. Friends may call at Hill's on Wednesday from 3 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the American Cancer Society.
