Phyllis Ann (Sullivan) Leasure

Phyllis Ann (Sullivan) Leasure, 81, of Chillicothe, entered into Heaven on August 17, 2025 at Adena Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born on October 6, 1943, in Greenup, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Monroe and Sally (Manuel) Sullivan. On August 12, 1961, she was united in marriage with her beloved husband of 63 years, Pastor Larry Junior Leasure, who preceded her in death on April 26, 2025.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Larry L. (Tammy) Leasure, James M. (Lisa) Leasure, and Mark H. (Mary) Leasure; grandchildren, Larry L. (Cheryl) Leasure Jr., Anthony James (Brittany) Leasure, Sarah Ann Leasure, James M. Leasure Jr., Mark (Allison) Leasure II, Brandi Dawn (Brian) Ratcliff, and Jacob (Amber) Leasure; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Clyde Sullivan, Marshall Sullivan, Dave Sullivan, Kathy Felts, Kay Rhoades, and Linda Steele; 43 nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her infant son, Wesley Leasure, and siblings, Sam, Jim, Earl, Tom, Joe and Orville Sullivan, and two infant twin siblings.

Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was selfless and always put her family first above herself. She was well known as a caregiver and often times made sure the entire neighborhood was fed. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Sugar Run Church (1680 Sugar Run Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601) with Pastor John Rhoades and Deacon Al Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston.
