Peggy Ann (Stevens) Brown
Peggy Ann (Stevens) Brown, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was born on November 25, 1936, in Londonderry, the daughter of the late Carl Leslie and Wilma Marie (Perry) Stevens. On December 17, 1966, she was united in marriage with her loving husband, William Howard Brown, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2009.
Peggy is survived by her son, David B. Brown, of Chillicothe; daughter, Sandy (Larry) Endicott, of Kingston; granddaughter, Rachel Mittler, of Kingston; brother, Larry (Joanne) Stevens, of Chillicothe; special cousin, Sue Meeker; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Dan R. Brown; granddaughter, Abby Mittler; sisters, Joyce (Carl) Crawford, Kay (Art) Exline, and Sarah Gress; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Freda Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Elaine) Brown, Tom (Terry) Brown, and Ralph Brown (Jonnie); and her beloved Westie, Lexi.
Peggy was a 1954 graduate of Southeastern High School. As a devoted homemaker, she adored her family and was a talented cook. Peggy had a passion for and vast knowledge of gardening and plants, which she loved to share with others. She also enjoyed fishing with loved ones and doing puzzles. Later in life, she established herself as a "power seller" on Ebay, specializing in the collection and selling of buttons.
The family would like to thank Adena Hospice and special care provider, Cathy Davis, for the excellent care Peggy received during her illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Chaplain Jeremy Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 - 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Hill's.
