Patty L. (Chaffin) Davis
Patty L. Chaffin Davis, 83, of Kingston, went to be with the Lord at 9:00 a.m., January 1, 2013, at the Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Patty was born March 27, 1929, to Charles and Alice (Bush) Chaffin at Kingston. She was a graduate of Kingston Union High School class of 1948. She worked at General Electric for 10 years and was a bus driver for Zane Trace Schools until she retired after 31 years. She was Treasurer of the School Employee Retirement Organization, former Treasurer of the Ohio Association of the Public School System, former Treasurer of the Ohio Education Association, and a member of the American Legion Post 291, Kingston.
She was predeceased by a son, David Evans, her parents and five brothers. She was married and is survived by her wonderful devoted husband of 38 years, Charles Davis. Surviving children are Vicki (Dave) Diehl of Chillicothe, Karen (Aaron) McCord of Chillicothe, Keith Evans of Kingston, and Kae (George) Diehl of Kingston. She is also survived by thirteen of the most precious grandchildren whom she loved very much; Stephanie Simpson, Amy Tooill, Beth Glispie, Adam Bobo, George Diehl, Patrick Diehl, Matthew Diehl, Charlie Evans, Joseph Evans, Amy Diehl, Angie Thomas, Andy Diehl, and Ryan McCord. Patty has thirteen great-grandchildren. Her surviving brothers and sisters are Russell Chaffin, Anne Kempton, Madge Summitt, Loretta Davis, Shirley Hunter, Wanda Irvin, Larry Chaffin, Bill Chaffin, Jeanette Coulter, and Sandy Kuhn.
Friends and family may call at Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, with Rev. Jividen officiating. Burial will follow at the Hallsville Cemetery. Online registry at hillfhkingston.com
