Patricia Ann Ortman Patricia Ann Ortman, 88, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully August 3, 2012, in her sleep, with family attending. She was born February 6, 1924 to the late Sherman and Iris Swigart in Akron, Ohio. Her sister, Nancy Radak, of Stow, Ohio, survives. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Russell E. Ortman on September 14, 1997. Together, they raised eight children: Six survive: Gail (Glenn) Douglas; Craig (Joni) Freiesleben, Wayne Freiesleben, Susan Ortman Adkins, Charlie (Marilyn) Ortman and Tom (Judy) Ortman.  Children Douglas Ortman and Carolyn Ortman Brown preceeded her in death. She also had eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed a full Christian life. Among many things she enjoyed were; family, friends, swimming, hiking, puzzles, knitting, reading, and baseball games. Patricia was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at the Chillicothe Hospital, Ross County Health Dept. and V.A. Hospital. After retirement she was a hospital and library volunteer. She also stayed very active assisting aging friends and helping her son Tom with his greenhouse business. Patricia was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern Star-Kingston Chapter, and Grace Fellowship Church.
