Paris Curry
Paris Curry, age 94, of Delbarton, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 while at his daughter's home in Kingston, Ohio. He was born on November 29, 1930 to the late Amos Curry and Quince Slone Curry in Delbarton, West Virginia.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, who he spent over 35 years with, Exie Curry, his son, Woody Curry, his brothers, Wade Curry, Clifford Curry, Elmer Curry, and Dee Curry, and his sister, Alma Poole.
Paris was known as an independent man. He loved life and enjoyed spending his free time front porch sitting. When he was younger, he served in the army and was a very proud Korean War Veteran. Throughout his life, he worked as a truck driver until retirement. Paris was also a member of the Ragland Church of Christ. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and community.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Loretta (Charles) Faulkner, his brother, Jeff (Ferbie) Curry, his sister, Sadie Curry, his sister-in-law, Mary Belle Davis, his grandchildren, Amanda (Jerrad) Nickell, Charles (Amy) Faulkner Jr., and Katherine (Cody) Rigsby, and his great grandchildren, Abby, Trevor, Izzy, Elly, Elijah, Titus, Chloe, and Jase.
Funeral services for Paris will be held at Chafin Funeral Home in Delbarton, West Virginia. Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Minister Donnie Estepp will be officiating. Burial will be to follow at the Curry Family Cemetery in Delbarton. Chafin Funeral Home is proudly serving the family. Local care was provided by the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, Ohio.
