Orvil Chaffin
KINGSTON: Orvil 'Leanie' Chaffin died on December 1, 2012, at Adena Medical Center. He was born on October 3, 1935, to David and Gracie (Adams) Chaffin.
He is survived by sons, Terry (Nancy), of Chillicothe, Tom (Denise), of Circleville, Mike, of Kingston, and Mark, of Chillicothe; a sister, Bonnie (Ernest) Black; and brothers, Fred, Bill (Patty), and Arnold (Libby). He is also survived by grandchildren, Shawn (Gary) Stump, Kathy Flechtner, David (Tiffany) Chaffin, Adam Chaffin, Chloe Chaffin, and Graham (Kristen Theisen) Chaffin; great grandchildren, Joseph, Kylee, Mason, Taylor, Ally, Tyler, Hillary, and Ryan; as well as many nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, mother, sisters, Effie, Anna, and Nell; and brothers, Ray, Johnny, and Gene.
Orvil attended Kingston Union High School and lived his life in the Kingston area. A retired mechanic, he enjoyed his retirement years helping others with their mechanical needs, as well as spending time with old friends from the Kingston area.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, at the Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. Friends may call Wednesday, December 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hill's.
