Obituary

Norma Jean (Waugh) McFann

Norma Jean (Waugh) McFann, 84, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Savior on April 28, 2026. She was born on July 31, 1941, in Washington Court House, the daughter of the late Willard Asbar and Ruth Amelia (Adams) Waugh. On March 2, 1969, she united in marriage with her beloved husband of 55 years, Frederick McFann, who survives.

Norma is also survived by her daughter; Dorothy (Mark) Doucette; four grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Amber Doucette, Emily and Christopher Benjamin, Anna and Nicolas Salvatore, and Ryland Doucette; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous other special family members, friends, and church family whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia (Walter) Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd and Betty Jean McFann; and grandchild, Kimberly McFann.

Norma grew up loving horses and graduated from Green Township High School Class of 1959. Shortly after graduation, she met and fell in love with her loving husband, Frederick, and they settled in Glenford, Ohio, where they had their daughter, Dorothy. Norma has been a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for the past 34 years, where she devoted her time to the Lord with ministry, volunteering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the church. She also enjoyed traveling and being outdoors. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church (2486 Anderson Station Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601) with Pastor Robb Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in Rush Township Cemetery, McDermott. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston.
