Nicholas Kelley
Nicholas Kelley, 86, of Kingston, passed away on January 18, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 2, 1931, in Kingston, the son of the late Clifford and Olive (Betz) Kelley. On December 17, 1982, he was united in marriage with his loving wife, Kay (Geirhart) Kelley, who survives.
Nick is also survived by his children, Tim (Paula) Kelley, of Sugar Grove, and Nicholette (Dan) Ratcliffe, of Chillicothe; step-children, Terry (Jody) Geirhart, of Jackson, and Cindy (John) Stevens, of El Paso, TX; grandson, Shane Wilbur, of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Mary Kelley; one great-granddaughter; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Angela Geirhart and siblings, Francis, Tom, and Carson Kelley, Catherine Arnold, Irene Smith, and Margurite Timmons.
Nick was the retired co-owner of the Kingston Farmers Exchange. He was also the co-owner of the former Red and White Grocery Store with Orville (Hoke) Targee for several years. He drove a school bus for Zane Trace School District for almost five years and worked for Kingston National Bank for over 17 years. Nick was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Kingston, and attended Crossroads Church, Circleville. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Dr. John Boyle and Dr. Frank Consentio for their special care of Nick over the years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 3 – 6 p.m. at Hill's.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Green Township Fire Department (P.O. Box 700, Kingston, OH 45644). Condolences can be made on Nick's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
