Myron Frazier Gearhart

Myron Frazier Gearhart, 94, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2017 at his residence on his family farm surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 9, 1923, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Paul Henry and Wanna (Hissey) Gearhart. On November 29, 1957, he was united in marriage with his loving wife of 60 years, Sue Dresbach Gearhart, who survives.

Myron is also survived by his son, Byron P. Gearhart; grandchildren, Karl (Natasha) Gearhart, Keith (Rebeca) Gearhart, Kate Gearhart, and Ken (Lisa) Gearhart; and great-grandchildren, Kinze, Kasen, and Kaley.

In addition to his parents, Myron was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Paul Wendell Gearhart.

Myron graduated from Kingston High School in 1940. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Navy Medical Service. He was stationed in the Mediterranean and was present a D-Day. He was a 70-year member of the Logan Elm Masonic Lodge #624, Kingston, a member of the Circleville Presbyterian Church, a life member of the Patrol Craft Sailors Association, former president of the Arthur St. Clair Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution of Chillicothe, life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars of Chillicothe, and a member of Disabled American Veterans of Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery with military honors provided by the Ross County Honor Guard.
