Melvin F. Huffer

Melvin F. Huffer, 77, of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1948, in Circleville, Ohio, the son of the late Henry George and Lola Francis (Streitenberger) Huffer. Melvin was a 1966 graduate of Centralia (Zane Trace) High School and retired after a long career as a truck driver. He enjoyed living on the farm where he was raised, spending time with family and friends, and was loved by many.

He is survived by his children, Kelly (Scott) Wilson, of Lancaster, Tonya (Dave) Campbell, of Chillicothe, and Michael (Jason) Fain, of Frankfort; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Mike (Nina) Huffer, of Kingston; sister, Goldie (Larry) McNichols, of Tarlton; special nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery, Chillicothe. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill’s.
