Mary Margaret (Brungs) Rigsby
Mary Margaret (Brungs) Rigsby, 92, of Kingston, entered into Heaven on March 31, 2026 at Pickaway Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born on June 8, 1933, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Wolfe) Brungs. On April 3, 1952, she united in marriage with her beloved husband, Ranzie Haden Rigsby Sr., who preceded her in death on July 5, 2007.
Mary is survived by her children, Pamala Chaffin and Darry (Patty) Rigsby, all of Kingston; daughter-in-law, Marla Jane Rigsby, of Williamsport; grandchildren, Ranzie Haden (Beth) Rigsby III, Heather Renee (Jason) Foreman, Andrea (Adam) Conley, Darry (Christy) Rigsby II, and Justin (Brandi) Rigsby; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one on the way; sister, Shirley (Brungs) Justice; bonus son, Kevin (Janet) Prickett; numerous special nieces, nephews, neighbors, and church family whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Ranzie Haden Rigsby Jr.; brother, Paul (Pat) Brungs; sisters, Zelma Louise (Walter) Lewis, Marvene (Barney) Barnhart, Betty (Fotty) Martin, and Susan (Warde) McCabe; and brother-in-law, Jim Justice Sr.
Mary worked as a cook at the Zane Trace Local Schools Cafeteria for over 20 years. She was a strong and faithful matriarch of both her family and her church. Mary was a pillar of Rising Son Church for the last 63 years and organized the church’s Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences can be made on Mary’s online guestbook at www.hillfhkingston.com.
