Martha Alice Pennington Martha Alice Pennington, 84, passed away on November 25, 2013 at the Willow Brook Christian Home in Delaware, Ohio. She was born January 16, 1929 to the late Jestie and Arthur Large. She is preceded by her late husband, Luther Pennington, and two infant sons, Darrell and Duane Pennington. Alice is also preceded in death by sisters, Lorna (Parsons) and Alkie (Evans) and brother, Arnold Large. Alice is survived by her children, Diane (Larry) Smith, Danny (Sarah) Pennington, David (Cindy) Pennington, and Deborah (Albert) Harrington. Alice is also survived by sisters, Joella (Pennington) and Shirley (Knapp), and brother, Lawrence Large, along with many loving nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Alice married Luther on June 20, 1947. A woman of deep faith, Alice was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ashville, Ohio for many years. Following her move to Nevada, she joined the First Southern Baptist Church in Henderson, Nevada. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, 24 West Ing St., in Kingston, Ohio 45644. Burial will take place at the Meade Cemetery immediately after the service.
