Marilyn "Sue" Garrett

Marilyn "Sue" Garrett, 79, of Kingston, passed away April 30, 2025 at Berger Hospital in Circleville.  She was born September 5, 1945, in Laurelville, Ohio, to the late Herbert and Margaret (Hettinger) Brokaw.  Sue united in marriage to the late Samuel R. Garrett on July 6, 1963.

Sue is survived by her children, Thomas Garrett, Bryan Scott Garrett, Kevin (Sherry) Garrett, and Lori Garrett; grandsons, Rob (Crystel) Garrett, Cody Enlow, Tracy Garrett and Seth Garrett; great-grandchildren, Cadie, Natalie, Harley, Olivia, and Kasen; siblings, Melvin Brokaw and Patricia Leach; and numerous other special family members and friends including special friend, Melodee Stump, whom she cherished.

In addition, Sue was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald "Jake" Brokaw, Gary Brokaw, Larry Brokaw, Ronald Brokaw and Kay Ebert; brothers-in-law, James Leach and Michael Garrett; sisters-in-law, JoAnne Brokaw, Ruth Brokaw, Georgia Brokaw, and Betty Garrett; and grandson, Kevin Michael Garrett.

Sue was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved spending her Saturdays cheering on her Buckeye's from her favorite recliner and sharing a recap of the games with her special niece and nephew-in-law, Toni and Doug Farmer.  Sue was such an important part of her family and meant the world to so many; she will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating.  Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. at Hill's.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sue's honor to Saltcreek Township Fire Department (PO Box 244, Tarlton, OH 43156).  Condolences can be made on Sue's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
