Margaret Sue (Long) Bretz

Margaret Sue (Long) Bretz, 77, of Circleville, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024 at Circleville Post Acute Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born on July 9, 1947, in Whitehall, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Streets) Long. On October 30, 1964, she united in marriage with her loving husband of almost 60 years, Robert L. Bretz Jr., who preceded her in death on August 1, 2024.

She is survived by her beloved children, Debbie (David) DeLong, Robert (Terri) Bretz III, Paul (Jessica) Bretz, and Glen (Kama) Bretz; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; feline companion, Charlie; and numerous other special family members and friends whom she cherished.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Long, Jack (Donna) Long, and Mary Ann (James) Stamp.

Margaret attended Whitehall Yearling High School. Margaret had a passion for crocheting, loved sweet tea, and adored cats. However, her favorite passion was spending time and making memories with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery, Hallsville. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill's.
