IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Michael
("Buck") Arnold
November 2, 1945 – September 13, 2016
Kenneth Michael "Buck" Arnold
KINGSTON: Kenneth Michael "Buck" Arnold, 70, of Kingston died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus after a brief stay for treatment of injuries resulting from a serious fall.
Known to friends and acquaintances as Buck, Kenny never met a stranger; his delight in making friends never waned -- even in the hospital during his last days.
A retired farmer, Kenny was instrumental in establishing the Kingston Volunteer Fire Dept., having served as its president multiple terms and a firefighter for many years alongside lifelong friends and a surviving brother. In addition to mentoring young farmers and would-be first responders, he gave back to his beloved farm community by serving as a 4-H adviser in Pickaway County.
He is survived by a daughter Kendra Dailey (Barry) of Kingston and three grandchildren, Beau Dailey (Magen) of Zanesville and Erin and Levi Dailey of Kingston, a son Keith Arnold of Columbus, brothers Bill Arnold (Kim) of Urbana and Bob Arnold (Karen) of Kingston, an uncle Nick Kelley (Kay) of Kingston, several nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends, including Randy Sims of Kingston, Scott Stausbaugh of Chillicothe and Buck's canine pal Magpie.
Born Nov. 2, 1945, to Paul William and Catherine Mae Arnold (née Kelley) of Pickaway Township, he was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and brother Larry Arnold.
Friends and family plan a celebration of Buck's life during the week of his 71st birthday; details have not been finalized. HILL FUNERAL HOME in Kingston provided cremation services.
