Karlita R. Davis

Karlita R. Davis, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2018 at her residence after an extended illness. She was raised by the late Howard and Jennie Shoemaker.

Karlita was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Davis, a brother, and a sister. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn R. Davis, of Chillicothe; son, Rick (Jackie) Miller, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Ricky Miller (a very special grandson whom she raised), Karlita (Brennan) Myers, Ginesca (Shay) Hicks, Natasha Miller, and Gaten Miller; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special friend, Rodney Murray (who helped her to the end of her life), and cousins with whom she was raised, Janet, Sue, and Ernie Shoemaker.

Karlita worked at White Laundry for 5 years and retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center after 20 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Post 757, a lifetime member of the Eagles, and a member of the Moose Lodge Post 1626, all of Chillicothe. She loved her Ohio State and Bengals football teams.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been observed. No services have been planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston.
