Karissa Nicole Dempsey

Karissa Nicole Dempsey, 21, of Kingston, passed away on June 10, 2017 at OSU Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born, in Chillicothe, on December 27, 1995, the daughter of Robert and Tammy (Broughton) Dempsey Jr., who survive.  She was a 2014 graduate of Zane Trace High School and a senior at Wright State University studying mass communications.

Karissa is also survived by her brother, Nathan (Kelly) Dempsey; girlfriend, Jacquelyn Whiston; grandparents, Roy and Flora Broughton, Robert Dempsey Sr., and Bonita Herman; aunts and uncles, Tim (Kim) Broughton, Tony (Nancy) Broughton, Todd Broughton, Gloria (Ron) Polley, and Teresa Grant; and several cousins and dear friends. Karissa was an aspiring and accomplished photographer and loved music, cooking, and pursuing new adventures.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
